About Lenexa City Center

Lenexa City Center is an exciting mixed-use urban development that is being built on all four corners of 87th Street Parkway and Renner Boulevard, in the center of Lenexa.

Born out of the community-driven Vision 2020 planning process, Lenexa City Center will be a key destination area that will combine a mix of shopping, restaurants, entertainment, office, residential, hotels, and public gathering areas such as parks and plazas, all in a pedestrian-friendly, high density development.

At build-out, Lenexa City Center is expected to offer about 4.5 million square feet of mixed-use development on more than 200 acres in the I-435 corridor.

Lenexa City Center Neighborhood Design Standards & Guidelines
The design success of new urbanism neighborhoods depend as much on how the pieces fit together as the specifics of an individual building’s architectural style or color. The Standards and Guidelines are composed of five major sections: Street Classification System, Site Design, Building Design, Sign Design and the Neighborhood Streetscape Elements Matrix. Collectively, these standards and guidelines spell out the elements found along the main streets that tie all four corners of 87th Street Parkway and Renner Boulevard into one cohesive, readily identifiable City Center.
